About Yumi Murayama
Yumi Murayama, principal designer at YU+ME Design Inc., brings a unique perspective and extensive experience to every project. Born and raised in Japan, Yumi draws inspiration from the elegant simplicity and natural essence of minimalist architecture and design. Her curiosity about the world led her to move to North America in 2001. In 2013, she earned her certification in Interior Design.
After years of experience as a senior designer and stylist at a global Danish company, Yumi recognized that many clients had complex needs beyond the scope of pre-fabricated designs. Inspired by her clients, she founded YU+ME Design Inc. in 2018, delivering stunning interiors ever since.
Yumi has also earned a Senior Home Safety Specialist certification, enabling her to create safer and more comfortable environments for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, she shares her expertise and creative insights as a contributor to Canadian Home Trend Magazine, enriching readers with her innovative ideas and inspirations.
